About the Project
The Decentralised Energy and Energy Masterplanning (DEMaP) project will provide an expert resource to facilitate and accelerate delivery of decentralised energy projects across London. DE projects-using technologies such as combined heat and power (CHP) - and district heating networks can require extensive and complex infrastructure, long timescales and engaged stakeholders. However once system are installed, provide electricity and heat at very low carbon intensities as well as the opportunity for returns on investment. Local authorities seeking to promote or deliver DE need organisational capacity and comprehensive Decentralised Energy Masterplans that identify opportunities and provide the technical feasibility and business case on which deliverable projects can be funded.
