Strategic Decentralised Energy Masterplanning and CHP Feasibility Studies

There are a number of strategic opportunities for DE projects in London that can contribute to the LDA’s vision for a heat transmission network across the capital. These projects are often more complex as they may cross borough boundaries or involve a number of stakeholders which and will require LDA intervention to get off the ground.

The DEMaP team will carry out specific strategically important energy masterplans and CHP feasibility studies where required. This work will help breakdown the barriers to DE by informing the boroughs on establishing appropriate strategies, policies and development frameworks supporting the implementation of DE. It will also identify within appropriate boroughs, the basis of particular DH networks in specific areas and associated strategic policies (for example Area Action Plans etc).

Strategic Energy Masterplans will be carried out for GLA Opportunity Area Planning Frameworks to capture DE opportunities in London’s biggest regeneration areas.
